A great solution for keeping your pants legs down and the cold air out when riding! Also a MUST for those riding open belt systems! These bootstraps are made with black ¾ inch anti-roll industrial grade elastic. The locking clips come in chrome, black, or skull heads and will securely hold any material including jeans, chaps, rain gear, and even thin dress pants. (click on thumb nail photo to see more pictures) These clips are riveted, not sewn on for extra durability. For maximum comfort and functionality the boots straps can be ordered in three different lengths. Sizes:
The long straps are 9 inches long, the short are 8 inches and the extra short are 5.5 inches (tip to tip). The goal is to get a long enough strap that won't pull hard when in the sitting position, but not so long that it will touch the ground when standing.
Straps lengths.
1. LONG (9 inch tip to tip).....for regular length pants worn with boots or thick sole shoes with a heel 2. SHORT (8 inch tip to tip)....for extra long pants worn with boots OR regular length pants worn with street or gym shoes with lower heels 3. EX SHORT (5 inches) .... for very long chaps or rain pants that actually cover the whole heel when standing.
The best way to tell which you need is to measure the distance from the end of your pant cuff, under the arch of your boot or shoe and back up to the end of your pant cuff on the other side while standing.
